How To Become Super Hero’s Of Grace

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, only that

Is good to the use of edifying, & Minister Grace unto others.  Eph 4:29

•             Speak words that build up, not to tear down.   Proverbs 12:18  The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”

•             Focus on the needs of others, rather than your own.   Acts 20:35

•             Freely Forgive Quickly.  Colossians. 3:13    Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

•             Swallow you pride, and say “I’m sorry,”  “I was wrong.”

Matthew 5:23-24  Therefore if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering

          Practice 1 Corinthians 13 regularly

Jesus was a Super Hero For Grace

Luke 7:53- 8:11  Woman being Stoned  Caught in Adultery!   Jesus, said, "Woman, where are they? that condemn you?" She said, "No one, Lord."  "God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to Save the world through his Grace-Jesus Christ.  Jesus says to her, "Neither do I condemn you. Go, and sin no more."   Jesus  condemned the sin but not the sinner."   Jesus offered  her  a new life,  a new direction, to move forward and serve as an agent of Grace.

1 Corinthians 12:7-27    We are the hands & feet of Jesus

One Body Many Parts

We are our Brother's Keeper

Servant means becoming,  God Focused and not Self Focused.

God gives us the opportunity to be thankful when nothing about your circumstances gives you that motivation, that is the  definition of faith. If you praised God only on the good days, only in the best of circumstances, it would not be faith at all.

Mark 10:45   For the son of man did not come to be Served but to Serve but to give his life as a Ransom for manySet-Free to Serve!

We are our Brother's Keeper

Examples: How to Move Forward to Serve

  1.  Make yourself available to God,   and to serve others.

Servants are willing to do what is needed even when it  is inconvenient to them, even if it cost them Financially.

Luke 8:1-3 Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's business manager; Susanna; and many others who were contributing from their own resources to support Jesus and his disciples.

  1. No task is beneath a servant.   Nothing To big, or to small.
  2. God will not force you to serve him or others.  The choice is yours.
  3. Stop waiting on someone to ask you to serve.

Posture, position yourself to serve others

Barnabas excelled in encouraging others. What was it about him that he was recognized by the title "Son of Encouragement" or "Son of Consolation

Barnabas stood up for Paul.   He was the first person of influence and responsibility to extend his home to Saul of Tarsus, when all Jerusalem was still casting stones at him (Acts 9:26-31). The disciples in Jerusalem, who knew Saul only as a fierce persecutor and murderer of the saints, were afraid of him. They could hardly believe he was converted. Barnabas came forward and showed great kindness toward him.

He introduced Saul to the apostles (verse 27), so that he could tell them the story of his miraculous conversion.

Barnabas is first mentioned as a landowner who sold some land and generously donated all the proceeds to the apostles in Jerusalem

Becoming a servant means becoming God focused and not self focused.

John13:3-5, 12-14   Jesus Washing the Disciples feet

We must adopt a lifestyle that demonstrates the Character of Jesus

Open your eyes and look around you! Jesus told the disciples that the fields of people all around them were “white already to harvest” (John 4:35).

John 14:12   Greather works shall we do because  Jesus go the father on our behalf.

Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” The word “world” in this verse is from the Greek word kosmos. This is very significant, for the word kosmos describes anything that is ordered. In Greek it is often used to denote a particular political system; a system of fashion; a system found in any part of society such as a circle of friends; or any sphere where you live and have influence.

The apostle Paul used the word kosmos when he wrote that Satan was the “god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4). Paul wasn’t speaking of the physical earth in that verse; he was telling us that Satan operates in world systems, including (but not exclusive to) some of the areas mentioned above. These world systems (kosmos) are the spheres Satan has invaded and where he exerts his greatest influence.

You are the light of the world. A Church-A City built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16 NIV.

John 3:16 should motivate us to serve others.

Luke 7:53- 8:11  When Jesus and the woman were finally alone, he asked her a simple question, "Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?" She simply replied, "No one, Lord." She becomes a memorable example of the fact that "God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.[Jn. 3:17] Jesus says to her, "Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on no longer sin."   Jesus  condemned the sin and not the sinner."   Jesus called her to a new life,  a new direction, to move forward and serve. Jesus rejected the double standard for women and men.

Colossians1:  For God in all his fullness, was pleased to live in Christ,  20 and through him God Reconcile  everything to himself.  He made Peace with everything in heaven and on earth,  by means of Jesus blood on the cross.  21 This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. 22  God has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

Colossians 1:   Paul’s Work for the Church

24 I am glad when I suffer for you in my body,    I am participating in the sufferings of Jesus,   for the Body, of Christ.     28 So we Go  and tell others about Christ, and Teaching everyone The Word.   29 That’s why I work so hard,    I Depend on Christ’s  Power that Works Within me.
